Dean, Faculty of Law, University of New South Wales (Jan. 2002-Dec. 2006)

Below is information regarding his five year tenure as Dean of the Faculty of Law:

· The Law Faculty is among the most highly ranked in Australia and Asia. See biography.

· For four years in a row, the Faculty has led all other law faculties across Australia in teaching and learning and the University has led all other major Universities. See http://www.law.unsw.edu.au/

· Dean Trakman managed a multi-million dollar budget within a decentralized university, and raised significant funds from non-traditional sources to supplement funding.

· His Faculty raised more money than any other faculty at the University during his tenure.

· His Faculty grew in size by 20% to include a truly outstanding and international recognised faculty.

· Research income in his Faculty doubled.
