Law:
· The University of New South Wales is ranked 45th globally among the world best 400 colleges by the U.S. News and World Reports. (By comparison, New York University is ranked 40th.) See

· On commencing his deanship, Dean Trakman initiated the Campaign for a new purpose built law building. The building was completed in record time during his deanship and opened in July 2006. See

· Dean Trakman managed a multi-million dollar budget within a decentralized university, and raised significant funds from non-traditional sources to supplement funding.
· His Faculty raised more money than any other faculty at the University during his tenure.
· His Faculty grew in size by 20% to include a truly outstanding and international recognised faculty.
· Research income in his Faculty doubled.
· He established an international law alumni organization with branches across the world. That organization contributes significantly to the educational, financial and professional well being of the Faculty and its graduates. See
